Project 3: Typography

The third piece of design work is an image that demonstrates my skills in typography that specifically shows unique type glyphs. This image was created in Adobe Illustrator and used various tools and gradients to achieve the final outcome. The unique type glyphs that were utilized were Myriad Pro (used for larger text) and Minion Pro (used for the text in the background). The inspiration behind this design came from my passion with Amelia Earhart and her achievements, as well as reading a storybook about her to my children. The last page of the book had a quote that read “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward;” this became the message behind the image of Amelia Earhart.
